    Interior design for offices

Office design is an art that begins with a deep understanding of how your employees interact with their environment. Our meticulous process involves analysing workflow, collaboration patterns, and individual needs to create spaces that foster productivity and happiness. We thoughtfully consider essential factors such as sound, lighting, and ergonomics, ensuring your workspace not only looks great but also functions seamlessly.

By integrating principles of biophilic design, we bring elements of nature indoors, promoting wellbeing and enhancing focus. The ultimate goal is to craft a collaborative workspace that facilitates natural movement, sustained concentration, and efficient teamwork, transforming your office into a vibrant hub of creativity and productivity.

    Interior design for hospitality

Hospitality design is all about crafting spaces that create lasting impressions and unforgettable experiences.

Our approach begins with us gaining a thorough understanding of your brand, vision and guest expectations, allowing us to design environments that blend style, comfort and functionality.

We pay careful attention to elements like lighting, furnishings, and layout to ensure an inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment. We also incorporate sustainable materials and practices, and ensure our designs will stand the test of time. The ultimate goal is to create spaces that guests will want to revisit time and time again.

Our Design Process

  • Every interior design project begins with an introductory conversation to understand your requirements, including your vision, the scope and budget, and to decide which design service suits you.

After our discussion and reviewing any materials you provide, we will send you a fee proposal. For larger projects, we will conduct a site visit before presenting our fee.

  • Concept design establishes the design brief, focusing on generating ideas and exploring different options based on our discussions, experiences, and research.

During this phase, we present designs through sketches, mood boards, and scaled layouts. This process allows us to investigate a range of concepts regarding the aesthetic and functionality of your space, encouraging feedback to identify the best interior design solutions, tailored to your needs.

  • The detailed design phase involves fine-tuning the chosen design from the concept stage and preparing the essential drawings and specifications required for cost estimation and tendering.

During this phase, it is crucial to ensure that all facets of the design are thoroughly coordinated. This includes detailed CAD drawings, sourcing fittings and furniture, selecting flooring and paint finishes, specifying switches and sockets, along with any other intricate elements. This stage is vital to guarantee that the design aligns with your objectives. Drawings may also be submitted at this point for planning approval, certificates of lawfulness, and building regulations, as necessary.

  • The construction phase begins, bringing your interior design to life.

At this stage, the design is seen as complete. We oversee the implementation of the design and on hand to deal with any design queries from contractors or specialists. Our role at this stage will vary depending on the project scope. At this stage, we may also provide procurement service to source and order furniture and fixtures for your space.

  • Completion of construction and renovation and elevating the final finish.

During this stage, any defects on the part of the contractors and specialists will be addressed. This phase also focuses on adding final details to the interior, including wall art, soft furnishings, and accessories. Additionally, it includes the final handover of the project and any additional output materials.

“We approached People & Spaces when we were looking for an interior designer to create an office space for our marketing business in Bristol. Emilie helped us create a really beautiful yet practical space that the team love and genuinely really want to come and work in. From colours, to lighting, to foliage, there were loads of aspects that we would never have thought of - and it looks great. They delivered a very personal, reliable, collaborative approach.”
